CJC-1295 with DAC is the long-acting variant of CJC-1295. The Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) modification enables irreversible binding to serum albumin, dramatically extending half-life.

— Mechanism Of Action

DAC contains a maleimidopropionic acid moiety that forms a covalent bond with cysteine-34 of serum albumin in vivo. This ‘piggyback’ on albumin extends half-life from ~30 min (no DAC) to approximately 8 days.
